Observer LAFRAS SMIT - potential new observer "in training"

CANON EOS 6D DSLR camera.

Used with 148mm focal length f/2.8 telephoto lens.
These observations processed manually using Nova.astrometry.net
and SAOimage DS9.

Exposures 3.2 sec at ISO 3200.

I have given him the site number 0436 - still to be approved by
Mike/Ted

Site 0436 : Longitude 28.1682 deg East, Latitude -27.2313 deg,
Elevation ~1300 Metres - situated near Heilbron,
Gauteng,South Africa

Notes:
-------
(1) I did the identification and measuring of the JPG images
supplied by Lafras.

(2) Although the camera used by Lafras only records time to the
nearest(?) second this particular satellite has a very high drag
due to its low perigee around 170km so the timing error is
relatively insignificant compared to the daily time error.

(3) The satellite was quite variable between the two exposures so
supports the object being an old Centaur rocket.

(4) Weather conditions being suitable I should be able to observe
it tonight and Lafras will continue to observe as often as possible.
