Tonight , 13 FEV 2017, I photographed the 7 objects 2017-003 A, B, C, D , E ,F, G. They were rather fainter than expected (between mag 5 and mag 6.5) First pass (culminating East) : BCDEFG passed as expected according to the Calsky ephemerides that used TLE epochs near 17044.5. However I missed 003-A (Iridium 106) that did not pass at the predicted time. Note that the Calsky ephemeris used for that satellite an older epoch than for the other objects. Second pass (culminating West) : I began watching the missed satellite A more than 5 min before the predicted time. I spotted 2017-003-A Iridium 106 passing 3mn49s ahead from Calsky ephemeris whose TLE epoch was : 17042.07067006 Regards Alain Figer 2.13°E ; 48.67° N ; 170m a.s.l _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Mon Feb 13 2017 - 15:56:01 UTC
