TELKOM 3

Hi all,

I'm french and meteor observer, I have three cameras to record them. Of
course I'm also interested in atmospheric re-entry and satellite
observation.
I heard of this mailing list and news about TELKOM 3.
Two weeks ago, 2017/01/20 near 05:42 UT, I recorded strange (for me)
satellite's flares. According to heaven-above the objet was TELKOM3 but it
predicted near 4 magnitude.

For meteor's capture and analysis we use UFOsuite created by Sonotaco.
The most bright flare was near -3.7 magnitude and we calculate the velocity
and the position from double observation from LITIK2 and VTE station at
05:42:12. On the groundmap projection the position of the object is the
yellow line jointed by the green lines with LITIK2 and VTE stations. We
have found a velocity : 8km/s and a height: 288km for this observation. 5
other positions are estimated assuming 288 km of height.
