The unknown is called 99999. The orbit plane scan lasted 101 minutes so got more than 1 orbit using the plane scan program kindly provided by Cees. Works well. A circular orbit determination produced the following 99-99A 7.0 1 99999U 99099 A 16 56.73308170 .00000000 00000-0 00000-0 0 00 2 99999 142.4042 23.7532 0000010 0.0000 0.0000 15.30829959 00 1 16 02 25 18 04 51.0 08 18.63 -37.036 2000 5.0 1 16 02 25 18 04 57.1 07 55.97 -37.411 2000 5.0 Could this in fact be the long missing OFEQ 5 #27434 ? Not many brightish satellites with an inclination of 142 degrees and altitude about 476 kms. Standard magnitude of +7. (2) The object reported on 22 Feb as an OFEQ satellite is incorrectly labelled. It appears to be a relatively bright unknown with a possible 66 degrees inclination. (3) The unknown reported yesterday has the following orbit IF circular. The inclination may suggest otherwise. The approximate range observed was about 3000 km 1 99-99A 3.1 1 99999U 99099 A 16 56.80105032 .00000000 00000-0 00000-0 0 00 2 99999 64.7269 117.4212 0000010 0.0000 0.0000 12.01114133 00 1 16 02 25 19 56 14.2 01 23.20 -44.221 2000 7.0 1 16 02 25 19 57 24.4 02 02.75 -41.835 2000 7.0 Cheers Greg _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Sat Feb 27 2016 - 05:55:04 UTC
