Several days ago I saw this object again in my 8" telescope.
It was bright enough that I tried again this morning to see
it with binoculars.

The previous sighting was at about 25 degrees elevation almost
due east about an hour before sunrise.

This morning's attempt was about 57 degrees in elevation in the
east before sunrise but the sun was about 9 degrees below the
horizon. As a result, I estimate from using Nu Lyr that had
SMAP been brighter than magnitude 5.2 I should have seen it.

I did not see it so back to using a telescope.

I have downloaded Cartes du Ciel to get a better source for
star magnitudes but have yet to learn how to incorporate a
larger star database.
