Hi all, A fine photo of a vent cloud seen from Pedro Dome (65.04 N, 212.54 E) near Fairbanks, Alaska by Dennis Mammana has been published as a "mystery object" on Spaceweather: http://www.spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=22&month=02&year=2014 (scroll down a bit on the page). Position on the photograph matches USA 248/GPS 2F-05 launched Feb 20 very well: the satellite was near az 290 elevation 17 degrees, RA 23h45m10s dec +23 48' near that time (Feb 21, 6:15 UT) for this location. - Marco ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, the Netherlands. e-mail: sattrackcam_at_langbroek.org Cospar 4353 (Leiden): 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL Cospar 4354 (De Wilck): 52.11685 N, 4.56016 E (WGS84), -2 m ASL Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com Twitter: @Marco_Langbroek ----- _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Sat Feb 22 2014 - 19:47:18 UTC
