I have added a function for online predicting satellite transits across the Sun disk. The system will show the satellite shadow projected on the ground and the shadow ground track as for the flares. However, if you zoom in to see a few km on the map, the Sun disk will be projected on the ground as well: the satellite will be seen crossing the Sun disk if the observer is within the ellipse-like shape. Example: to predict the ISS transits across the Sun, simply load the page (at the usual address) and click on the "Predict Transits" button. http://digilander.libero.it/SATrack/VisualSATFlareTrackerOnline.html?q=ISS The time of transit start and transit end can be investigated by changing the time with the keyboard ([S] / [Shift + S]). New functions will come... Regards, Simone _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-l
