Hi everyone, I also got photos of the shuttle as it flew up the east coast. I took these from my deck in Havre de Grace, MD. These were 5 second exposures from a tripod mounted camera, so the lines are not exhaust plumes- they are just the motion of the point source across the sky. http://monroe.20m.com/shuttlelaunchfeb2010.htm Monroe Harden Havre de Grace, MD hardenm@sprynet.com -----Original Message----- From: JAY RESPLER [mailto:JRespler@superlink.net] Sent: Monday, February 08, 2010 5:23 AM To: SeeSat-L Subject: STS 130 view from New Jersey In what may be the last shuttle launch visible from New Jersey, I just watched STS 130 Endeavour pass 1-2 degrees over the moon. This link is a picture I took with a hand held digital camera. Moon is partly obscured by low clouds and tree branches. Endeavour is at the top left corner with an exhaust plume pointing down to the right. (You may have to turn up screen brightness to see it). http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j188/JRespler/sts130moon.jpg?t=1265623692 -- Jay Respler -- JRespler@superlink.net SKY VIEWS & TYPEWRITERS ILLUSTRATED ENCYCLOPEDIA http://uweb.superlink.net/jrespler Freehold, New Jersey ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
