A friend of mine was at a rocket launch event in Hearne,
Texas, where it went nearly dead overhead, South to North. He said it
was bright enough that the flash on the ground was detectable even though
it was daytime. The object was brightly colored and the colors changed
as it went. The object was visible for something like 10 seconds. It left
behind a trail which persisted for some minutes, and there was a very loud
    boom following the event.

He said the video taken from Austin (what has been showing on the
news) was "pathetic" in comparison to what folks in Hearne saw.
