    You are definitely overreacting!

The obvious (?!) meaning of the second statement is that you can set a
filter (Message Rule) to move the messages to a specific folder
if the Message Body contains 'http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html'

And the first statement is that since the rule above can be applied,
it is detrimental to shorten the displayed message subject.

***Despite their utility, I am not a fan of list identifiers on the subject
    line.***

That's too bad, since every other list has them..

***If your filter cannot use header information, then consider using
"http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html", which appears at the bottom
of the body of all SeeSat-L messages.***

Say What?? Why would I want to go to a webpage to read email???

What the heck is wrong with this group? You can only observe this way or
that way.. You can only get this this way..

Now I know why only a handful of people ever post to this group..
