Alberto Rango's appended message was rejected because the list software is configured to reject very short messages, apparently on the theory that they are not real messages or incomplete or something. Alberto was not at fault, since this is a rather obscure list behaviour. A suggested work-around when posting very short reports, may be to open with a statement on a separate line, like, "Here are my latest observations". Anyway, I am forwarding Alberto's message on his behalf: -----Original Message----- From: Alberto Rango [mailto:alberto.rango@tin.it] Sent: February 16, 2007 8:47 AM To: SeeSat-L Subject: 4541 SATOBS 16 Feb 2007 29651 06 057A 4541 F 20070216043103350 17 24 1812330-183730 57 S Alberto Rango, Roma, 4541 41°.9668N 012°.4545E 80 mt Alberto's observation is the first reported of USA 193 in 12.2 days. Relative to my latest elements (below), it was 14.6 late, well within the margin of uncertainty in the natural rate of decay; allowing for Earth's rotation over that interval, it was with 0.024 deg of the predicted track. The predicted track likely is somewhat unreliable, due to the lack of support for frozen orbits in the SGP models. I hope to post an updated elset later today.
