Liftoff was at 0925 UTC and separation 40 minutes and 2 seconds later. Launch was towards the end of the window owing to an earlier communication failure between the ground station and the launch vehicle. An excellent launch - log at http://mtsat1r.rocketsystem.co.jp/rcc/index_e.html - this has some pictures but there are more nice ones at http://mtsat1r.rocketsystem.co.jp/live/internet_e.html I guess the Australians will be keeping an eye or two open for this one!
