Best positions were: 4h50m +8 1:42:31 UT 5h25m +7.5 1:43:26 just N Gamma Ori 5h55m +8 1:44:22 just N of Betelguese 6h30m +12 1:45:14 then distracted by another UNID - found to be 02024D (27433) Feng Yun 1D Deb Any ideas? It was normally at edge of vision in 10x50s (8 mag) but flashed to 5mag or better as follows: 1:40:28 1:40:51 1:41:14 1:41:42 1:42:08 1:42:37 1:43:00 1:43:53 1:44:22 (yes - just as it passed N of Betelguese) Originally caught my attention with a 1X flash near head of Cetus.
