AMC-16 fuel dump observed - APOD

    It appears that the Atlas-5/AMC-16 fuel dump was observed over Hawaii.
See today's Astronomy Picture of the Day.  There is an animated GIF.
There is also a forum which discusses the event.  I posted a comment.
There is a description by someone who actually witnessed it.
