    Dear Listers,

Any of you on this list (or elsewhere), who doubt the value of Space
    Science should read...

    http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/columbia_experiments_030204.html

It takes years for research to be completed and papers to be published, and
I would think that someone like Richard Feynman would understand this.

The lady writer at the Globe is clueless, as are most Americans, about the
state of science and discovery in the world. Discoveries and inventions
resulting from or in support of the aerospace industry pervade our lives in
every way today - from the microchip to the materials sciences, but few
    people make the connection.

I wonder how much money our government will spend flexing its muscle in the
Middle East and how many lives that will cost?!?!

    Your loyal lurker,
