Last night (early Feb 12 UTC) ETS 6 (94-056A, 23230, Kiku 6) did some very bright (+1.5) flashes at about 4:26-27 (RA 4:00, Dec -17) and 4:51-53 (RA 6:40, Dec -28). The range was about 16,000 down to 11,000 km, as it was approaching perigee. It was visible with my 10x50 handheld binoculars for much of the time from 4:17:30 until 4:55:51, when I stopped to briefly time 90003, a very interesting drifting geosynch flasher, which Mike McCants had recovered. Observing site was BCRC -- 30.315N, 97.866W, 280m.
