The Delta II launch originally scheduled for last Thursday is still on for today (1743:44 GMT (12:43:44 p.m. EST; 9:43:44 a.m. PST). For those of you who aren't aware, the launch will lift five replacement Iridiums from Vandenberg south over the Pacific, then release the 5 SV's over the Middle East and Western Russia. I don't show any good observation opportunities for those of us in the Eastern US, but maybe our British friends might see a flash or two around 22.12 UTC. Anybody know whether there is a webcast of the launch? Sam Milton Environmental Compliance Engineer Home Address P.O. Box 10385 1045 Flynt Drive Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality Apt.
