    KSC to officially open new Web BroadcastING FACILITY
    
    At 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, a ribbon cutting ceremony will mark
    the
    opening of Kennedy Space Center's new Web Broadcasting Facility at the
    Press
    Site.
    
    The new facility, which incorporates a TV studio, will use live
    broadcasting
    via the World Wide Web and exclusive programming to bring the public
    closer
    to KSC than ever before. Interested space fans from around the world will
    be
    able to follow launches, landings and other KSC events in a real-time
    environment. Adding to the excitement and educational value, an
    interactive
    chat feature will allow anyone watching to submit a question to be
    answered
    by featured experts.
    
    Located in the News Center at the KSC Press Site, the Web Broadcasting
    Facility is an example of the cooperation and teamwork between NASA and
    its
    contractor teammates to create an informative and enjoyable product that
    will encourage online visitors to stay tuned.
    
    Speakers at the ribbon cutting ceremony will include KSC Center Director
    Roy
    Bridges; District Director Brian Chase, attending on behalf of U.S.
    Congressman David Weldon; and KSC's Director of External Relations and
    Business Development, JoAnn Morgan.
    
    ACCREDITATION

    badging and access will be via Gate 3 on State Road 405 east of U.S. 1
    south
