It was great to see ISS during an evening pass coming up from the SSW horizon, 1/29 PST = 1/30 UTC. SkyMap 6.5 predicted mag -3.1, but the magnitude was "only" about -1 on this low-phase-angle pass. I agree it's a tricky object to predict accurately: anisotropic, various orientations.
