I was *very* fortunate to make this observation. After getting outside at 3.15am and assembling my 8" telescope under a brilliantly clear sky, I waited for 83-60C setting in the NW leaving eclipse at 40 deg el. It turned up 11 secs early after 80 days, mag about +10 steady. After I'd made one timing the satellite faded away into unexpected cloud, and a minute later the sky was overcast. David.
