Report time 12:00 UTC
1989-048F (#20094) Proton upper stage Auxiliary Motor
Surprisingly SPACECOM released very late the FINAL REPORT - prepared
February 21, 01:16 UTC and shows the decay on
20 February, 13:16 UTC +/- 01 minutes (45.7°N, 249.0°E)
on a northbound pass over Montana.
Another surprise: There is also a last ELSET but with an epoch 14:20:50 UTC
more then one hour after the decay ! Based on this ELSET 01051.5977... and
extrapolating backwards (12:00:00 UTC) and working with a empirical ballistic
coefficient, derived from retrofitting over the last 2 days, MPM + REENTRY
delivers the decay on
20 February, 13:17 UTC +/- 05 minutes (46.38°N, 252.70°E)
on the same pass also over Montana.
Any visual observations ?
