MIR overhead pass

    Just had a near overhead pass of MIR,(10:56:50UT Feb 10culmination)
     predicted by heavens-above to be -1.2 max magnitude. 
    It was notable in that the maximum brightness was at least mag -2.4,
    directly comparing with Jupiter, at least 5 glances, as MIR descended
    in the NE between Orion and canis major.
