    Dear Friends,

You can see fresh pictures and video clips from the cosmodrome where
preparations for launching the Odin satellite are proceeding towards a
launch on 20 February. Check out:

Odin is a joint project between Sweden, France, Canada and Finland. The
purpose of the project is outlined at:

    http://www.ssc.se/ssd/ssat/odin.html

The launch is scheduled for 0848:27 UT on 20 February on a START-1 rocket.
The satellite will be controlled from Swedish Space Corporation's ESRANGE
ground station in Kiruna in Sweden's far north. The satellite is intended
to enter an orbit at 606-630 km altitude and a 98.73 degree inclination.
The Two-Line element set can be estimated to be:

    ODIN
    1 99999U 010YYA 0151.37814815 .00000000 000000-0
    2 99999 97.8251 61.4551 00174200 97.4782 357.4805 14.83886000 0

The spacecraft will transmit telemetry on 2208.163 MHz, 2 watts, 700
    kbits/sec phase-modulated on the carrier.

    Best Wishes

    Sven Grahn
