    An example of international co-operation involving Ariane and USA is the
    Topex/Poseidon spatial oceanographic mission, launched August 10, 1992.
    
    Let me add Ariane is launched from Kourou, French Guyana : France is amongst
    first World Space nations.
    
    I'm afraid some of this list contributors have still in mind 1944 image of
    France ?  ;-))
