    Hello everyone,
    		Thanks to a clear sky & a bit of luck I managed to observe two
    interesting geoflashers in recent days. The first was Gorizont 13
    (86-90A / 17083), the first time I've seen this particular Gorizont,
    flashing faintly at mag+10.5 with a period of  approximately 82s;

    86- 90 A 00-02-03 21:25:05.8 JPH 738.1 0.5   9 82.0   A'A' dtm

    86- 90 A 00-02-04 19:37      JPH 246.3 1.0   3 82.1   A'A' dtm
    mag+11->inv

    This was last observed in April 1995, then flashing faintly with a 56s
    period. This Gorizont only takes 27 days to complete one "lap" of the
    earth, so it can be easily observed from one location every month.

    Raduga 27 is still flashing, with the period continuing to go up.
    However, the rate of increase is slowing (period increasing by 0.376s
    per day between 25/12/1999 & 01/01/2000; 0.115s between 23/1/2000 &
    04/2/2000). Here are my recent observations of this object

    Currently the flashes are only visible after about 21:00UT from my site.
    I failed to see it at 19:00UT last night (5-Feb-2000), clouds prevented
    me from observing later in the night to see when the flashes first
    become visible.

    P.S. I've added two more pages with observing lists to the High Altitude
    Satellite web page, one on Molniya's & another on Long March 3 rockets.
