NanoSail-D deployed, sail to unfurl in three days

    NanoSail-D was deployed from its host, FastSat (10062D / 37225), on 2010 Dec 06, at 06:31 UTC.
    Confirmation of its beacon awaits. It is to unfurl its sail three days later.

    Official 2-line elements are not available via Space Track, but these are said to be current for
    FastSat:

    The sail is square, about 3 m on a side, and highly reflective, so should be visible, at least in
    flashes.
    
    According to this page, NanoSail-D will also transmit at 437.270 MHz, and there is a reference to an
