Buying a new laptop twelve months ago I intentionally
avoided Vista, and got "Media Center Edition", which
    essentially is an XP.
Though there are some annoying new bugs,
I chose not to reinstall my old XP Pro.
Skymap "F10 Plot star map" must be started from
    full screen, otherwise it hangs.
Programs that perform DOS tasks in the background
    now show black screens.
(UltraEdit F9 functions do that, and cannot redirect
output to files; OccultWatcher doing www updates
almost blocks keyboard and screen in the process)
