Here's wishing satellite list members all a Merry Christmas and a
    Happy New Year.

The past eight months have been so loaded with paying editorial work
(the kind we freelancrs need) that I have had almost no time to devote
to my walk through the orbited objects. I'm still in early 1968, and
more and more things are found in orbit day by day.

Speaking of which, months ago I guessed that the SatCat might hit
30,000 objects by the end of 2006, whereas Leo Barhorst opined 2007
might be a better guess. Well, with more than 300 objecvts still to
go, it's almost certain Leo was right: 2007 will see catalogued object
    #30,000.

    Best,
    G.O.

Looking forward to resuming my orbited objects walk after January,
when the last of my present contracts will be completed.
