I just watched a pass from Madison, Wisconsin, 43.0730°N, 89.4010°W. It was a low pass, with the shuttle breaking the horizon just slightly west of due south and peaking at about 25 degrees above the horizon in the South East. I could clearly see two distinct lights - in fact, when I first spotted it in my Canon 10x30 IS binoculars, I thought it was an incoming plane with its landing lights on. Beautiful sight! I never saw them that close before. Next time, I'll have a telescope and a video camera with me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
