I recall the details of my watch problem:

Several years ago I was using a Radio Shack (Tandy) digital stopwatch to
time an exposure. it was a very dry evening and I was building up a static
charge just by moving around. When I reached over to pick up the watch,
there was a static discharge and the watch froze.
