    Gerhard,
Both the Re-entry capsule , and the rest of the spacecraft are objects
available from JPL Horizon system at http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/horizons.html

This system has web, telnet and e-mail interfaces.
The e-mail interface is the most flexible and biggest learning curve.
However the web interface allows ra dec and distance from the geocentre
so a little extra caculation gives geoecentric cartesian,
if thats what you want, or just use two vectors to calculate
    geocentric hyperbolic orbit.
