    I expect the first one-power flash here to be at about 
    0:59 UTC (6:59 PM local time) this evening.  I believe 
    that is, unfortunately, in daylight in California.  And 
    I'm not sure, but it may be that the flashes occur even
    earlier to the west of here (i.e., the flash track moves
    west to east).
