Notes:
------
(1) Apologies for format error in yesterdays report- blame Outlook
Express!
(2) The mystery of why I could not find my recent "unknown" #91045 is that
this satellite is a rapid drifter and is in fact TURKSAT 1B, #23200
94049B with a period of just over 1440 minutes so is drifting
westwards.
On 24 Nov at 22h05mUT it was at az 017, elevation 50 degrees and on
28 Nov at 22h05mUT it was at az 010, elevation 51 degrees as seen from
my location.
As this is a known satellite the "unknown" #91045 bites the dust!
(3) Correction : The observation of #90002 on 22 November is incorrect
as it was not #90002 which remains lost. It appears that the object
seen may be part of an Ariane launch. I could find no match in my
element
database so this is another "Unknown" and probably lost for the
moment.
The sky is FULL of unknowns!
(4) For the moment #91043 and #91046 are my current "unknowns"
(5) This concludes report for 28 Nov 2005 - unless I decide to go through
the DVD disk again - a 4 hour recording takes me approximately 8 hours
to go through it -not the most efficient way to observe but its
convenient
to be able to check anything queried etc.I normally keep a particular
observing session for 2-3 months before using the DVD disk again.
Cheers
Greg
