Regarding the new "UNK" elements from OIG, this is from STS-113 Web site (Thanks to the SeeSat member who suggested this!): "Later today, the STS-113 crew will release two miniature satellites as part of the MEMS-based PICOSAT Inspector, or MEPSI, experiment. The satellites, which are tethered, will fly for three days to demonstrate the launcher assembly and the use of micro technologies in space." http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/shuttle/ I was not able to see the STS-113 and ISS pair -- don't know if they were too faint, there were clouds in the way, or both. And actually, I had forgotten about a potentially problematic building in view from the parking garage I had finally decided upon as my viewing platform. I think that here we have lost visibility opportunities for the small new pair of satellites.
