I wonder if anybody has ever made a movie of a satellite using a very sensitive camera that makes an image that looks similar to the compressed 3.9 hour video of the asteroid moving though a star field as seen at http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2001/ast14dec_1.htm?list626885 ? Obviously the telescope would need to guide very rapidly and an image amplifier would be required to bring in the starry background. The movie is really neat! I can only imagine that a satellite would look much the same way. It would be especially cool if the brightness of the satellite varied as it cruised through space.
