Russia launches another earth satellite

MOSCOW, December 25 (Itar-Tass) - An artificial earth satellite
launched by the Russian strategic missile forces from Plesetsk
cosmodrome on Thursday supplemented the Russian military space
facilities, Defence Ministry sources told Tass on Friday.
They said the spacecraft Kosmos-2361 was put into a preset orbit and
will serve the interests of the Russian Defence Ministry.
Russian military conduct observation over some 8,500 space objects.
The Russian system of space monitoring traces spacecraft of military,
commercial, research and other purposes in space. Some 750 operating
spacecrafts are now in orbit, with just over 600 of them belonging to
foreign states.

MOSCOW (Dec. 25) XINHUA - The Russian Strategic Missile Force launched
a satellite for the Defense Ministry Thursday night , Interfax
reported Friday.
The satellite was launched from Plesetsk cosmodrome in northwest
Russia at 23:02 Moscow time (20:02 GMT).
"The separation of the space probe from the booster-rocket was
successful," the force's press service said.
The Kosmos-2361 satellite entered its planned orbit early Friday.
