At Dec 20, 15.30 UTC, we are still missing a confirmation about the decay of
1998-025E (SSC 25499) that was predicted for the first half of Dec 19. There are
no actual updates of NORAD via OIG. The last prediction released shortly after
midnight Dec 19.
Apparently The NORAD TIP group (TRACKING AND IMPACT PREDICTION)of USSPACECOM that
is in responsibility for the reentry predictions works at tbis time not very
successfull. In my long experience with NORAD in the sixties and early seventies
I have never seen such a behavior (long delay in reaction and extremely large
reentry windows in the last hours).
Let us wait and see what's going on in the next hours.
