At 00:58:09 12 Dec UT, Iridium 74 #25345 98032D flared at -7 magnitude
approx 5 degrees west of Jupiter. As it was begining to peak there was a
momentary dimming, to about -4 or -5 magnitude before it resumed reaching
it's peak brightness, There were no clouds in the sky or any other
obstructions to cause the dimming. It lasted only for a brief moment but it
was noticable. I wonder what caused it? IR 74 was at 176 degrees azimuth at
an elevation of 31 degrees.
