I just bought myself a short wave radio receiver from Radio Shack !!!
You don't need a time cube. They sell many models of portable short
wave receivers, some of them almost pocket sized.

With that, you only have to get the signal from the NIST (National
Institute of Standards and Technology) emitting from Fort Collins,
Colorado on the following frequencies :

2.5, 5.0, 10.0, 15.0, 20.0 MHz.

For those in Canada, you have CHU at 7.335 MHz.
