What a surprise to see several other folks watching this
object. Maybe my previous binocular reports helped after all.

Tonight I observed it again and it is really apparent that it
is in a lower orbit.  Unfortunately I did not see any of the
brighter flashes.

At 02:08:05 UT on 2 Dec 98 it was on track and about 15 seconds
late.   Of course that was using Alan's elset that was close to
this time.  If others attempt to find it, use binoculars and 
an elset close to your observation time or run multiple elsets
and interpolate.   The last few nights the obs have been within
15 seconds. I consider that excellent for this type object.
