One-power obs. from Univ. of Texas at Austin, 30.286N, 97.739W, 150m: Cosmos 2347 (#23705, 97-97A) was steady and bright (reached at least +1.5). This was a favorable pass -- at culmination (UTC 00:29:23, 18 Dec.) it was alt. 79, (Quicksat) phase angle 67, range about 424 km (265 miles). #25066/97-74D (TRMM/ETS-7 H-2 Rk or Deb?) -- one flash to 0, not far from Vega; only visible a few seconds before and after. #25065/97-74C (TRMM/ETS-7 target or H-2 Rk?) -- not a very good pass, but I could see that it still was tumbling slowly.
