In reply to suggestions regarding my unid flasher:-
BION N11 inclin. of 62.8 deg.... possible, but no elements.
Noss 2-3 r Its track is too off.
99999A Was going north at the time, not south.
16864 The track is very good, BUT is 6 minutes later according to the
latest elsets. Its previous profile as a flasher does not really match
the present flash rate, although Bart did time it once near this rate.
Perhaps some-one could look at the possibility of incorrect elset. (9
days old). If it is it something has happened to it.
I do feel that this one should be identified. It was quite a conspicuous
display.
As I said the track of 16864 is very close, but I did think this one was
going a little more south. Trees did block my view a little after it
passed east of Canopus by about 5 or 6 degrees. But overall I do like
the track of 16864.
Thanks to all for the suggestions. They all help.
Perhaps Willie got it right about Santa after all. The clouds are BACK!!
