    I doubt it was a typo - I've seen 'deorbit' used in this sense more and
    more over the past 10 years - a very unfortunate re-appropriation
    of what was once a well-defined technical term. I agree that 're-orbit' is
    preferable, although still ugly.  Perhaps 'de-station' might be better?
    (given that people are unwilling to type something fuller like  'send to a
    retirement orbit')
