As a kid I lived in The Bronx and used to call the Hayden Planetarium each day to get the latest sighting predictions on the satellite passages from their "Dial-a-Satellite" service. I even remember the phone number: TRafalgar 3-0404. Initially, sighting info was also published in the NY Times on the weather page. Has it really been 50-years? Ah . . .
