I remember with great fondness watching both Echo 1 and Echo 2, as well as
Pageos as they moved across the sky. As a kid I lived in The Bronx and
used to call the Hayden Planetarium each day to get the latest sighting
predictions on the satellite passages from their "Dial-a-Satellite" service. I
even remember the phone number: TRafalgar 3-0404.

Initially, sighting info was also published in the NY Times on the weather
    page.

    Has it really been 50-years?

    Ah . . . Memories!
