I am going to have to keep my eye on Spaceway 1 ( 28644 ).
Last night, I was trying to observing the Boeing HS702 series of geo sat's, with my wide feild
setup.
I could see spaceway 2 ( 28903 ) and spaceway 1. I beleive I observed Intelsat 1R ( 26608 ) but I
didn't keep the video, to check to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
Spaceway 1 was easy to spot, in the 8th mag range at 6:56 UTC ( Aug 31 )
I couldn't spot Directv 10 ( 31862 ) the newest boeing HS702 beside it.
Hopefully spaceway 1 flares up nice and bright. And I don't mean at the geo sat flare season time.
I mean, like I have observed with Intelsat 1R, in Feb
What ever causing the flare, it's doing a good job. I wonder if one of the antenna's are something
else on the main body. Only a crazy thought of mine, so don't pay attention.
Thuraya 1 ( 26578 ) was observed slowly flashing last night, after I started observing it around
6:04 UTC ( Aug 31 ) Seems to be roughly 2 minutes between the slow flashes. Will be keeping an eye
on this one for sure.
