I been having fun, using the slooh scope. http://www.slooh.com To play spot the geo sat's. Last night I decided to check on Directv 2, to see what's going on with it. Well I got a nice image, in which I see a change in brightness of the trail caused by it. The scope tracks the stars, so geo sat's will appear as a trail in the image. I expect this of a geo sat, that's flashing. So the image is telling me directv 2 is flashing. Can't tell what the flash period is, using the image. I will have to check with my scope. Here's the image taken http://www.slooh.com/data/teide/onedegree/2007/08/23/20070823_220237_9439.jpg Feild of view Info 1.40 X 1.05 Deg. Scope location 28.29970 N 16.50826 W Image orientation is non inverted, but since the scope is one a equatorial mount, North is up, and east is to the right, if you understand what I am trying to say. I can see stars down to roughly +14 magnitude. Kevin Ask a question on any topic and get answers from real people. Go to Yahoo!
