Though it was reasonably easy to check satellite passes, finding a stationary flare for 2-10 minutes proved more difficult. The main reason is that I couldn't use QuickTime Pro, which allows me to single-step frames and make screen captures. The DivX free download that Apple pointed to solved the problem for Microsoft Media Player, but not for QuickTime Pro. Like the DivX player included, Media Player only allows me to start/stop and this misses 2-4 frames, and they don't allow copies. Using the slider to position in the movie, they increment 1 vs. 10 s. which correspond to ~250 sec vs. 42 min. in actual time. /Björn ----- Original Message ----- >> I am eager to see how many GEOs it will capture in the flaring geosat >> season >> late Sep-early Oct ! > > The 2005 and 2006 archives are on line.
