Camera at manual mode, "10 second" (= 10.7 second) exposure, wide field f2.8/7.41 mm. What these numbers mean: http://www.satobs.org/position/IODformat.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------- First true observations from my new polder outpost "De Wilck". Fair conditions upon arrival (+6.5 in zenith), but thin ground fog developing and Lm varying between +6.4 and +6.2 after that. Sat observations were done during breaks in Perseid meteor observations (130 meteors seen in 2.28h effective, of which 90 were Perseids) Cool -7 flare of Iridium 72 (98-032B). Iridium 14 (99-032A) flared seconds too late compared to the prediction. Several strays seen, including a baffling stroboscopic flasher at 23:15 near alpha And, and one that flared to -2 and then again to 0 at 00:26:00 near Polaris. The IGS 4r (07-005C) spectacularly flared to -1 at 00:42:00 UTC (Aug 12). Early evening obs from home (4353) will follow in a second mail. - Marco :-) ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, the Netherlands. e-mail: sattrackcam@wanadoo.nl Cospar 4353 (Leiden): 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL Cospar 4354 (De Wilck): 52.11685 N, 4.56016 E (WGS84), -2 m ASL SatTrackCam: http://home.wanadoo.nl/marco.langbroek/satcam.html Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com ----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
