In the night from 23 - 24 August 2006 some geostationary satellites close to
36.5 deg West will experience an annular eclipse of the sun. This should be
indirectly visible for observers from Europe, Africa and South America.

Intelsat 903 (#27403; 2002-016A) at 34.5 deg West will experience an eclipse
between 0:05 UTC and 0:40 UTC (24-AUG-06) with annularity between 0:21:30 UTC
    and 0:24:00 UTC.

AMC-12 (#28526; 2005-003A) at 37.5 deg West will experience an eclipse
between 0:14 UTC and 0:49 UTC (24-AUG-06) with annularity between 0:30:20 UTC
    and 0:33:00 UTC.

Expect a drop in magnitude by about 1.5 mag with a 1 mag change during the
    final 7 minutes before annularity.

    Clear Skies!
