Based on reports from Marco and John I have been attempting to confirm the disappearance phenomenon of 28646 myself. I have made numerous observations especially recently and have yet to spot the phenomenon; this also included a grueling 5-pass 28646-athon in one night last weekend from Seattle, Washington. I have seen just one direct overhead pass (which seems to be related to the symptomology?) and it was completely normal as were the other passes. One pass was unusually dim but that was because of the phase condition. Whatever the cause, the phenomenon must not be commonplace. Paul Maley Paul D.
